2016 Rules and regulations -

5. CLASSES:

A) ALL SLOT CAR 1:32nd Formula GP

Specification:

All Slot Car Formula GP, standard out of the box.

Chassis:

No modifications allowed (includes chassis components) except to add ballast and to remove a small amount of plastic to clear the rear tyres.

Bodywork:

No modifications allowed. All cars MUST be painted.

Motor:

Must be All Slot Car long can AS001

Tyres:

Must be All Slot Car as issued with the kit. Tyres can be glued, trued and oil treated if desired.

Allowable modifications:

As a precaution against untimely gear wear, Slot.it 25z Crown may be substituted for the All Slot Car item. As mentioned in the Chassis section, a small amount of plastic may be shaved from the area of the chassis just in front of the rear wheels to enable them to rotate freely. THESE ARE THE ONLY MODIFICATIONS ALLOWED.

Forbidden items:

Anything which was not in the kit or R-T-R car and is not mentioned in the allowable modifications.

B) 1:32nd NINCO Porsche 997 Challenge

Specification:

Ninco Porsche 997, standard out of the box

Chassis:

No modifications allowed (includes chassis components) except to add ballast and the NINCO ProRace guide (part no. 80118)

Bodywork:

No modifications allowed (although it may be found that due to the vagaries of mass production, a small amount of the interior tray around the rear wheel arch requires trimming to clear the rear tyres and spur gear).

Motor:

Must be NINCO NC-5 (the standard plastic pinion may be replaced with the metal equivalent, (part no. 80249 12z pinion) from NINCO’s range if you desire, or a replacement rear axle kit part no.80420 is also available. The motor may also be glued in place).

Tyres:

No modifications allowed (this includes the gluing, truing and oiling of tyres). Tyres must not be treated with additives in any way (although cleaning, prior to racing, with lighter fluid or similar is allowed).

Allowable modifications:

As mentioned above: Replacement guide 80118 (non-suspension version), replacement pinion 80249, gluing the motor in place, small removal of plastic from the interior tray around the rear wheel arch.

Forbidden items:

Treatment of tyres in any way whatsoever is not allowed.

C) 1:32nd SCALEXTRIC Britcar (Scalextric GT and Touring Cars)

Specification:

Scalextric GT and Touring Cars, standard out of the box.

Chassis:

No modifications allowed (includes chassis components) except for a deeper guide and to add ballast.

Bodywork:

No modifications allowed.

Motor:

Must be Scalextric (Mabuchi S type, not FF). Can be sidewinder or in-line configuration.

Tyres:

Must be Scalextric (rubber) appropriate to the car.Tyres may be glued and trued but NOT treated in anyway.

Allowable modifications:

Standard guide may be replaced with a deeper version from Scalextric, Slot.it or Scaleauto (owners preference).

Forbidden items:

Standard motors and tyres ONLY. NO SCALEXTRIC performance items (other than the deeper guide) are permitted.

D) BRM 1:24th Group C and GT Supercup

Specification:

BRM 1/24th Group C and GT cars, standard out of the box.

Chassis:

No modifications allowed (includes chassis components) except to add ballast or guide spacers (BRMS-026SB).

Bodywork:

No modifications allowed to standard bodyshells.

Motor:

Must be BRM.

Tyres:

Must be BRM rubber or sponge. Tyres can be glued, trued and oil treated if desired.

Allowable modifications:

NO MODS ALLOWED TO CHASSIS or MOTOR (except by general agreement, i.e., if upgrades become available on newer models these should be allowed to be fitted retrospectively). For example, earlier models may have the motor mounting adjusted with the appropriate part (BRMS-026PC) to align drive shaft and axle more accurately or the chassis may be replaced with a more recent version.Other Group C/IMSA GTP bodyshells produced by the likes of Tamiya, may be allowed to run in this class, providing the chassis and all running gear is BRM and that the hybrid created weighs more or less the same as the equivalent BRM.

Forbidden items:

Anything which was not mentioned in the allowable modifications. If any doubt exists please discuss with club officials.
