E) 1:24th Supersports

Specification:

A Sports Prototype, GT or Touring Car in 1/24th scale, from the period 1973 to present day, made of rigid plastic (or similar “hard body”), securely mounted to a chassis and to scale appearance with driver figure, interior etc. Driver figure to have at minimum a partial upper body ie. shoulders, arms etc.

Chassis:

Must be a commercially available plastic/resin or metal chassis (excluding BSCRA style). If any doubt exists please discuss with club officials before purchasing..

Bodywork:

In plastic (or similar) to scale appearance (no lexan or vacforms).

Motor:

Free choice (although the committee reserve the right to ban any motor considered ‘un-sporting’ and not within the spirit of the club). Orientation is free choice (anglewinder, sidewinder, in-line).

Tyres:

Free choice, so long as all four wheels are covered by the bodywork (where appropriate to the prototype) and are of sponge, rubber or silicone compounds. Tyres can be glued, trued and oil treated if desired.

Allowable modifications:

This is an OPEN class and by its nature encourages the use of modified R-T-R cars, motorized kits, etc. If any doubt exists please discuss with club officials before purchasing.

Forbidden items:

BSCRA type cars.

F) 1:32nd Historic Sportscars (Alan Clark Memorial Trophy) 1966 - 1981

Specification:

Sports prototypes, GTs or Group 5, where the prototype raced in the period 1966 to 1981 (inclusive).

Chassis:

Must either be the original, or a commercially available plastic/resin substitute.

Bodywork:

In plastic (or similar) to scale appearance (no lexan or vacforms).

Motor:

Free choice (although the committee reserve the right to ban any motor considered ‘un-sporting’ and not within the spirit of the club). Orientation is free choice (anglewinder, sidewinder, in-line).

Tyres:

Free choice, so long as all four wheels are covered by the bodywork (where appropriate to the prototype) and are of rubber or silicone compounds (NO SPONGE). Tyres can be glued, trued and oil treated if desired.

Allowable modifications:

This is an OPEN class and by its nature encourages the use of modified R-T-R cars, motorized kits, etc. If any doubt exists please discuss with club officials before purchasing.Any form of metal chassis is not allowed.

Forbidden items:

Anything which was not mentioned in the allowable modifications.

G) 1:24th Historic Sportscars 1966 -1972

Specification:

A Sports Prototype, GT or Touring Car in 1/24th scale, from the period 1966 to 1972 (generally speaking, although some earlier and later cars may be accepted if they are in the ‘spirit’ of the class), made of rigid plastic (or similar “hard body”), securely mounted to a chassis and to scale appearance with driver figure, interior etc. Driver figure to have at minimum a partial upper body ie. shoulders, arms etc

H) CARRERA DTM Cup

Specification:

Carrera 1:32nd DTM Cars, standard out of the box from the period 2008 to present.

Chassis:

No modifications allowed (includes chassis components) except to add ballast or remove polarity electrics.

Bodywork:

No modifications allowed.

Motor:

Must be Carrera (Mabuchi S type).

Tyres:

Must be Carrera (rubber) appropriate to the car.

Allowable modifications:

As mentioned in the Chassis section, the electronics surrounding the polarity switch may be removed, as can any lighting (if installed) and any magnets deemed un-necessary. Tyres may be glued and trued but NOT treated in anyway.

Forbidden items:

Anything which was not mentioned in the allowable modifications.
